In 2022, we developed our "2025 One Way" three-year plan to achieve Ambition 2030 and make SOMFY the preferred partner for door and window automation for homes and buildings. 2025 One Way provides a sens of direction, bringing together our strategic priorities, our transformation program, our people project and our achievements in terms of sustainable development and digitalization of the company.

One year later, where do we stand?

This special issue reviews progress on 2025 One Way in support of our Customers, Teams and Performance. For a better understanding, let’s take a closer look at the actions already underway:

Supporting our Customers Supporting our Customers:

Our customer service rate rose from 87% to 92% as electronic component shortages ended. The temporary problems encountered in mid-2023 following SAP migrations in Germany and Spain are also behind us, and we expect to hit our 95% target by the end of the year and already have in some regions (France exceeded its target in May).
As part of our drive to develop more energy-efficient solutions and meet customer needs, we successfully launched several major products in 2023, including RS100 Solar io and our new Zigbee indoor blind and curtain solution, and developed new TaHoma compatibilities with NetAtmo and Nexelec. Our commitment to eco-design remains a core value for ourselves and our customers. 65.9% of our products already carry the "Act For Green" label.

Supporting our Teams Supporting our Teams:

We are successfully transforming managerial practices to develop employee empowerment, cooperation and skills development in the service of the customer, based on the deployment of or Desired Culture, and five behaviors: "These five behaviors, highlighted in a podcast series, are a compass for our day-to-day wor and enable us to create common ground between us," says Valérie Dixmier, Head of People, Culture & Organization.

Supporting our Performance Supporting our Performance:

Since 2019, we have introduced a cost leadership approach, aimed at improving our competitiveness, which is necessary to finance our transformation and guarantee our market leadership and resilience. Wiser spending means more money for new projects. By the end of 2023, we will have reached our target of generating €12 million in indirect costs and €9 million in direct costs.

And finally, from 2024 onwards, several transformation program projects, including S&OP, Bricks & Modules and Marketing Chain, will enter the implementation phase, as part of a wider adoption and continuous improvement dynamic.

"I am convinced our 2025 One Way execution plan puts us in the best possible position to seize the long-term opportunities in our sector. It enables us to develop our relationships with customers and prepares us to bounce back," says CEO Pierre Ribeiro.

S&OP (SALES & OPERATIONS PLANNING)
S&OP (SALES & OPERATIONS PLANNING)
To modernize our operations, we aim to build our planning capacity through new working methods and roles. In September, our Finance and Supply Chain teams produced an initial version of the budget based on 2024 volume estimates from Sales Forecasters. By taking into account market needs, S&OP helps us better manage our global stock levels. Decisions taken on this basis have reduced stock by 15% to date.

BRICKS & MODULES
BRICKS & MODULES
This project aims to maximize the re-use of mechanical, electronic and software sub-assemblies as part of a product design and improvement process. Twelve projects were engaged in and beneficiaries of the initiative by the end of 2023. We aim to achieve annual efficiency gains of €10 million on our developments by 2027.

MARKETING CHAIN
MARKETING CHAIN
SOMFY has added key positions and roles for marketing managers as part of the reorganization of its marketing chain. To build skills and deliver standardized offers, the marketing academy has made available more than 40 LinkedIn modules and around twenty in-house modules on SOMFY Campus, covering everything from brand architecture to our business model.

All SOMFY employees will be sent an essential guide to the Desired Culture with a QR code for instant access to all podcast episodes. It’s a great way to learn more about the five behaviors and how to apply them in our everyday lives.

The Group has implemented a solid structure for training and Learning and Development (L&D) on SOMFY Campus with 27 easy-access academies and over 100 courses to help teams develop essential skills and knowledge.
