Digitalization is a key component of our three-year 2025 One Way plan. In order to put digitalization at the heart of our business plan, we took the bold step of creating a new Digital and Data Value Creation function that centralizes the skills and expertise of our IT, Data and Digital Factory teams. As part of the same initiative, we’ve also appointed a Chief Digital Officer to our Executive Committee with the brief to build a new competitive edge around our solutions and take the efficiency of our internal processes to a new level.
 
“We're advanced beginners: beginners because we're still at the early stage of our journey. Advanced because we’ve taken this initiative very seriously and have already accomplished a lot,” says Chief Digital Officer Guillaume Deudon.
 
The world is changing at warp speed, and although we find ourselves faced with a multitude of trends and forces, they share one key characteristic: they’re all digital. Connected objects, automation and artificial intelligence are visible at all times, whether at home, on the move, at work or traveling. The pace of this growth is much faster than anything we've experienced before. Our response to these consistently digital trends is unequivocal: we aspire to continue leading from the front through continual innovation.
 
We’ve already begun the process of digital transformation and developed solutions that perfectly align with this target. For example, we developed the POP project that resulted in the new Somfy Pro portal which is transforming the digital experience of our customers, responding more effectively to their needs and saving them time.
 
Generative AI solutions are another real-life example of acceleration through innovation. Losing no time, and with developments like our So-GPT secure solution for experimenting with ChatGPT, we’re advancing digitalization with our characteristic agility and determination.
 
The reason why digitalization has assumed such a dominant role in our lives is because it is the future we all need to be moving towards if we are to continue to drive innovation forward.
